The unique approach of The Inn Living as Nature in Toyama
Blessings from the soil and sea
Abundant clear waters streaming from the Tateyama Mountains sustain rice cultivation in Toyama, which is known for its rice production.
Fertilizing the soil, they flow into Toyama Bay, creating rich fishing grounds.
Nature and rice paddies
The journey of delicious rice starts with the growing process. Ask about our experience tours for planting and harvesting with the farmers who grow rice for our breakfasts.
Farmers' passion
Through constant communication with farmers, our dishes are prepared using local ingredients carefully culled by our chef. We ask the growers to share thoughts about their produce and the local community.
Sightseeing
Expect to experience the Tateyama Mountains and the traditional, sustainable rural environment of the satoyama landscape with all five senses. Here are some recommended attractions extending from our neighbourhood to the entire prefecture.
Onsen
The open-air baths and those in the large bathing rooms are fed with sodium-chloride waters (mildly alkaline, hypotonic and high-temperature hot springs). The waters of the open-air baths contain a comparatively higher level of chloride, while those of the large bathing rooms contain a moderate amount of chloride. Both are said to have skin beautifying and heat retention effects. Bathing rooms "Shizuka no Yu" and "Haruka no Yu" are switched for women and men daily, allowing you to enjoy bathing in two different spas.
Cuisine
Treat yourself to dishes proudly crafted by our chef, who blends the riches of satoyama nurtured by waters flowing from the Tateyama Mountains, with diverse bounties caught in the "natural fish preserve" of Toyama Bay. Delight your palate with seasonal delicacies such as firefly squid, winter yellowtail and white shrimp, as well as Toyama's local dishes of kelp-marinated sashimi and spiral-patterned fish cake rolls.
Rooms
Indulge in relaxation with the sights of the seasons, while appreciating the abundance of nature along the Jinzu River. Choose from Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms and Japanese-Western combination rooms.
Facilities
We offer various multi-purpose facilities and banquet rooms including a large meeting room for up to 100 people. Yutoria Ettyu can accommodate functions for families, friends and business such as New Year/year-end "forget-the-year" parties, farewell/welcome parties, alumni reunions, celebrations and memorial services, as well as company retreats.
